222 Squadron’s Wild Cyprus Adventure: From Mountain Trails to Beach BBQ Bonanza
222 Signal Squadron from 22 Signal Regiment recently concluded an unforgettable adventure training package in the sun-soaked paradise of Cyprus, organised by Staff Sergeant Durham and Corporal Jenner. This vibrant trip, brimming with excitement and camaraderie, was split into two exhilarating phases: hiking and mountain biking.
Phase One: Hiking through Paradise

The first phase saw the squadron members donning their hiking boots and exploring the rugged, yet breathtaking, terrain of Cyprus. Leading the hikes were Staff Sergeant Eveson, Major Bob Case, and Padre Sutton. With trails ranging from moderate to challenging, the squadron was put to the test, navigating rocky paths and steep inclines. The hikes were not only a test of physical endurance but also an opportunity to soak in the stunning vistas, from verdant hills to azure coastlines. Each step taken was a step towards building stronger bonds and unshakeable team spirit.
